Here's what the humans have to say about me:
GIDEON, GALEN and GLENN are three almost-grown kittens, about ten months old, now. They were living outdoors with their feral mother in a neighboring town, and were trapped and brought inside last fall before the cold weather arrived. The boys were not grateful, not at all. They hissed and spit and swiped and laid down their ears. This behavior is fear-motivated, of course. Fortunately, they all liked to eat, and this made a big difference.
We have been socializing them for several months now, and what a difference in their behavior! They have grown into handsome young cats, and have actually become quite friendly to those they are accustomed to seeing every day. They are still shy but are getting more comfortable with affection, even seeking it out. They like to be petted, cuddled and even like belly rubs. They even agree to be picked up sometimes.
GIDEON is mostly white with a tiger tail and tiger spots on his back. He especially likes belly rubs and will climb on our shoulders while we are cleaning.
GALEN is black and white with more white on his face. He also likes to be cuddled.
GLENN is also black and white with a little black nose. He was the tough guy, the last to accept our entreaties. Now he is a big love-bug.
These guys can be adopted separately or together, by patient adults who will complete their socialization. In a new environment, they will probably hide, so they will need safe hidey-holes for awhile. It would be wonderful if someone could adopt all three. You would get a ready-made feline family, and life in your house will never be dull. Come on over and meet these guys!
(Their mother Gianna is still stubbornly unfriendly and defiant. She lives in one of our open rooms. Someday she may also accept humans. She will always have a home here, however.)
