Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dora is a sweet little girl about 6 years old, 25lbs, dumped with her NINETEEN puppies in a barrio in Manzanillo Mexico. Four died at the hands of humans and the rest were saved and adopted out, but sweet Dora was left behind. She suffered burns to her face, most likely hot oil that was thrown at her to chase her away, but the physical wounds have healed. No doubt it will take time for her heartbreak to heal, and it is surprising to see how quickly she responds to affection.
Timid but gentle, this girl has had a tough life and will need to trust people again, but she will bond with a family and reward you with her love and loyalty. She can be a bit of an escape artist so she will need a secure environment. Dora, affectionately called Dorito, needs a home by March 31 in order for us to rescue her and fly her to the U.S. She would arrive in Denver, CO April 1.
