My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucas is a total sweetie looking for his forever home!
He is a Carolina Dog/Labrador mix, about 43.6 lbs and just under 2 years old. He gets along with other dogs but he plays rough with them, no aggressive behavior though. Just loves to wrestle! He responds well to correction, a simple "no" and "sit" stops any over zealous puppy behavior.
He does get along with kids, but due to his excited play, he will probably have to find a home with older children. Because of his medium energy, he will definitely need an active family, especially one that can take him on plenty of walks, or give him lots of playtime in a yard.
Lucas is also very unique. He's a Hermaphrodite, which means he was born with both male and female sex organs. Since then he's had several surgeries to correct the issue. He is now essentially female, but he doesn't know he's any different. In his eyes he's still a male, he lifts his leg to urinate, even though he urinates like a female would.
Lucas is currently in South Carolina, but he can be transported to an approved adopter!
