Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please meet Patch. He's a mini-Aussie who is being fostered in NC. He is 9 years old and ended up with ASF after his elderly male owner passed away, unexpectedly, and no family member wanted to take him.
He is a sweet guy and a nice, warm heating pad on chilly days. He loves to be right by your side and is really smart. He does want to please and is very food motivated. He would be a great fit in an only dog home, with older teenagers (16 or older), who understand an Aussie. He does nip when happily excited but does not mean to hurt. We are working on that! He was around a cat for a short time and was interested in him and very polite but the cat was polite as well. He is about 30 pounds but has lost some weight, that he needed to lose. He is not used to being crated but he has not had one bathroom accident in the house. He does well being gated in our kitchen when we are away. He is a bossy guy who does need to be reminded that he has a pack leader.. He definitely is in a better mindset with exercise and consistency. He is wonderful to walk on a leash and enjoys exploring. He is nervous with new people but does warm up quickly to them.
