Arrival Story: Found as a stray at 6-7 months old, Lola’s finders made every effort to find her people but Lola ended up staying with her finders. Lots of family life changes and it was decided Lola needed a better fit and so we agreed to help Lola.
Approx Age / Weight: 6 years old / 50 lbs.
Personality: Lola is a sweetie who lives to be with the humans in her life. She’s affectionate so you should be up for some kisses! Lola likes other dogs, too, but prefers time and proper introductions in getting to know her new canine pals. Lola would never turn down a walk and is good on leash. She used to go on trips up north with her previous family, enjoying some romps in the woods and swimming. This girl can’t get enough of the water even if it is a kiddie pool in the backyard! Stuffy toys are her fave along with noshin’ on bully sticks. Sometimes this silly girl will hide her toys in the couch!
Older kids are best. Young children with their loud voices and unpredictable movements are just a bit too much for Lola. She learned all about the crate in her foster home and while it has taken time Lola now goes in when asked. However, Lola does not need to be crated as she has good house manners. Our girl is also good at the vet’s office and on car rides.
Forever Home: If you’re looking for a real people-focused canine companion, Lola could be the girl for you! She just wants someone to spend time with her and she’d fit into many home situations. Lola is a sensitive soul and will need some time to adjust to a new person/family. Physical fence not required.
