My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maxine is a 3-year-old spayed female chocolate lab. Maxine weighs 51 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

This sweet, lovable 3 year old was a perfect passenger in the car. She met the pups in her foster home with a wagging tail and kisses for all. She wasn’t sure about sleeping on the pup beds but by the end of the night she decided they were wonderful. She will let you know when she needs to go out once she knows the right door to go to. She was not crazy about the crate but quieted down and slept all night. She needs work on walking (no wonder as she just discovered a leash recently) but using an easy walk harness and some training, she will be a great walking partner. She is very friendly and wants to meet all that pass by!

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound.) Adopters must travel to Maryland, or Virginia with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.

Lab Rescue LRCP has between 40 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia, and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates and locations are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. After you submit an application, you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
