Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet baby Leo <3
Welcome to Tunisia Africa - a country whose national pastime is to torture and kill these beautiful souls. Dogs and cats are viewed as filth, unworthy to even walk the same ground as humans. They are brutalized - with no protection whatsoever - except for the small group of compassionate people within that country that fight with everything they have to save them. The very government is part of this barbaric behavior - so not only do these psychotic monsters go unpunished, they are lauded as heroes.
These animals have ONE hope. And that is to get out of their own country.
Leo arrived to the United States on 3/10/19 as a scared, confused, mistrusting puppy. At only 4 months of age, to see that kind of fear in something so young and innocent is especially sickening. 4 month old puppies should fear NOTHING. Life is new and the world is one big playground. But not so for dogs like Leo. His 4 months of life so far have been nothing but terror until he was found by his Tunisian rescuers. When he first brought into his new foster home last week, he was absolutely petrified of males - adults and kids - it didn't matter the age. That tells us alot right there. Sadly in all walks of life, males are the main tormentors, followed by children. But because of the incredible love and patience of his foster family, Leo - in just a matter of a few days - has transformed from this scared puppy into a loving, silly, PERFECT little boy. He still has confidence building to do, he still is learning how to trust....but from what we have seen in just this past week.....we have NO doubt he will be amazing!
He is amazing with other dogs but has not been cat tested.
Adoption fee $600 and includes health exam, deworming, up to date vaccines, microchip, neuter, bloodwork, and 30 days of free pet health insurance. We listed him as a Lab but we believe he is an Egyptian Baladi.
