LIEUTENANT DAN IS ARRIVING ON 3.23 AND PRE-APPROVED ADOPTERS CAN COME MEET HIM BY APPOINTMENT
Lieutenant Dan is the front man of a litter of 10 puppies born on November 19, 2018 to a stray mom who wandered into someone's yard in rural AR. Mom is a very sweet lab mix, but clearly a party girl - - from the looks of her pups she had at least 4 gentlemen-friends! The puppies are being fostered in families with visiting kids, sometimes cats and other dogs which is perfect training ground for them to become the perfect little additions!
Once in awhile a puppy comes into the program who is so innately curious, so hungry to learn, so anxious to please, it knocks your socks off . . . and Lieutenant Dan has done just that. He has amazed his foster mom with his intelligence, eagerness and focus -- a terrific tri-fecta for a wining combination. He learned Sit, Wait, Down and Back Away in a matter of days - - a real Puppy Einstein. Plus, he's friendly, happy, gets along with everyone that comes his way, loves attention and is grateful for a second chance. True to what might be RR in his heritage, he does have natural protective qualities and will "Alert Bark" if someone new comes along, or he feels his foster mom should be aware of a strange dog on the property. But all she has to do is tell him it's alright and he's ready to be friends. The only thing Lieutenant needs now is someone to take an interest in him and continue the lessons he has already started.
Lieutenant Dan is about 4 months old, he weighs about 25 pounds and he's a very healthy boy. Because he is so intelligent, the best type of home for him is one who will keep him mentally stimulated because he craves it. If you've always gone for beauty AND brains, please visit www.pinkshelter.org for more information about the adoption process or
