My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mindy is a 6 year old spayed Himalayan (flame point) who was originally surrendered to our Rescue due to a recessed vulva which had the potential for needing surgery. The recessed vulva was caused by obesity which left her unable to clean herself. Once she got settled in, we started her on a diet and hygiene regimen to help ease her discomfort. We are happy to say that after a few months, she has lost enough weight to clean herself again, and she no longer needs surgery! Mindy is a very nice kitty who loves to be brushed and cuddled. She did live with other cats previously, but we do not know how she does with dogs or children – although we believe she would do great with any and all humans who show her kindness and love! Anyone interested in adopting Mindy will need to be dedicated to her weight loss, keeping her on an appropriate diet and promoting an active lifestyle (toys, laser pointer, etc.)
