Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Willow is an amazing 10 month old Brazilian mutt weighing just 35lbs!! She is a very special little girl. She was brought back from Brazil where she had been run over by a motorbike- suffered several fractures in her back legs/pelvis- and was brought back to the US for orthopedic surgery they couldn't do down in Brazil. Her foster mom was volunteering in Brazil- and just couldn't leave this little one behind. Once Willow got back to the states she had surgery to help fix her legs, then quickly after she broke with distemper- even with vaccines on board. It was heartbreaking. With lots of TLC, time, veterinary intervention- Willow is now fully recovered. She never got sick from the distemper besides twitches. Willow was monitored very closely for months to make sure she was as healthy as can be. She has now been given the all clear. Willow will ALWAYS have a permanent twitch. Even when she is sleeping she has the little tick. It should not affect her forward in her life besides the active twitch. Her fractures are completely healed, and besides her legs being a little bit off the standard of normal- she gets along just fine. Often hopping instead of walking. (When she first had surgery she couldn't walk, and had to use a wheel chair! What a recovery!!)
Willow is great with other dogs, loves cats, and loves every human she meets. She is a very gentle soul. She loves to go for walks, and loves to cuddle. She likes to be touching you as much as she can. She is very smart- and can sit, down, shake, stay. She is 95% housebroken.
Willow's mental development was stunted when she had distemper- but she is quickly catching up. She is so attentive. She watched the other dog laying down, and quickly learned to do the same. She is a goofy girl, and between her twitch and her previous fractures she crab walks down stairs- but she gets down them. Her tail literally never stops wagging, and she is the happiest little dog. Her foster mom loves her, and would keep her if she could. Willow will make an amazing dog for the right family or truly understands she has been through a lot.
