Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
****The website is updated several times daily. Please do not email to ask if there are still dogs/puppies available.****
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO ALL BASIC QUESTIONS BELOW. Please read carefully Before emailing.
*Mabel is a three year old wirehaired Jack Russell. She's a great size at 15 pounds. Mabel is a very sweet girl who is adjusting well to life in the house. She loves to cuddle and watch TV.
Mabel has lived her whole life as a farm dog. As you can see in her picture, Mabel loves to hunt. She is a great rat dog, and would be excellent for someone who would like to compete in barn hunts. Mabel would also do fine in an active home doing obedience, agility, 4-H, or other dog sport. Mabel is not "hyper" or difficult to live with, she is an active young terrier. Mabel is not a quiet lapdog for grandma.
Mabel is fine with other dogs. She cannot go to a home with cats or small prey type animals. We do not know if she lived with young kids, she has been fine with older children. Mabel is crate trained and appears to understand house training. Like any dog, she may have accidents moving into a new home. Mabel will not be adopted to a home with invisible fence. She needs a physical fence or a home dedicated to leash walking.
*Each pup is spayed or neutered and current on their vet cares.
*We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Prospective families must come to NORTHFIELD MN to meet. Aside from monthly adoption events, we do not meet in the Twin Cities*
*Emails are answered in the order they are received. We are receiving a large number of emails, so answering promptly is our goal. If you are interested in adoption, your prompt responses are the best way to get through the adoption screening*
*Paws First does not accept checks or credit cards. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ADOPTIONS AT ANY POINT IN THE ADOPTION SCREENING PROCESS.*
If you have read this far, you are ready to start the adoption process! Please email for the next step, which is a short email interview to get started.
