Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***PLEASE READ ABOUT HER SPECIAL NEEDS***
Sweet Fiona is adorable, loving, playful, beautiful, and so much more! This little girl is full of love and snuggles and can't wait until she gets a new home of her very own.
Not long after Fiona was spayed we noticed one morning that she was extremely out of sorts. We took her to our vet right away and it was discovered that Fiona has a liver shunt. Due to this she will need to be kept on a strict prescription diet, only given vet approved treats, and will need medications for the rest of her life in order to give her the best chance at staying healthy long term. Unfortunately there is no way for us to know how this diagnosis will effect her life expectancy but there is a chance that she will be with us much shorter then we would hope for. However there is no guarantee that she doesn't have many happy, great years ahead of her. We fully understand that it will take a very special adopter for Fiona and we are totally committed to giving her the best life we can while she is with us but we would love to see this amazing girl get a family.
Fiona is around 1 1/2 years old as of 03/13/19. If you would like more information about her or her condition please let us know!
If you would like to meet this special dog, please email dogs@lunashouse.org to set up an appointment. Please be patient to hear from us as we are all volunteers and may not be able to respond immediately.
Our volunteers make sure just the right home is chosen for me so they require a home visit to make sure there are no safety issues that could hurt me. You must live within a 50 mile radius of our location in order to be considered.
The adoption fee is $250 and includes vaccines, flea prevention treatment, neuter/spay, and micro chipping. Like us on Facebook!!
Disclaimer:
Visual breed identification in dogs in unreliable, for most of our dogs we are making the best guess at what the predominant breed or breed mix might be. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality and temperament, not breed label.
