My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jackson (Jax) is looking for his family! Please adopt me now <3

This guy is a fun loving 70 lbs American Bulldog mix with possibly some other bully and/or Weimaraner mixed in. He is about 4.5 years old.  He loves to go for walks, would be an excellent running/hiking buddy.  He is so crate trained that if you say kennel, he goes right to it.  He also will put himself to bed in his crate if he feels you are staying up too late.  He has that awesome puppy energy but the smarts to immediately calm down as soon as you say his name.  He knows sit, lay down, go out (from the kitchen lol) and walks beautifully on a leash. Best as an only dog because his past experience with other dogs is mixed. He does best with a strong leader. No cats, but he is okay with chickens. Out of an abundance of caution, no small kids even though he's shown no issues with kids and actually likes them. He's fixed, chipped, and current on his vaccinations.

Adoption fee of $250 includes the aforementioned items. Currently in need of new foster (or adopter) in Oregon. He can be adopted in Oregon or Southwest Washington. You must complete an application before we are able to accommodate any request for a meet and greet. Please apply here: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/0b9tH5evbdz. Thank you!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

This is the first step and we require an application before any meet and greet is scheduled. The application link is usually in the listing.

2.

Approve Application

3.

Home Check

Additional adoption info

We get and approve an online application. Do a home check and then adopt out on an adoption contract that includes a clause that the dog comes back to us if the adopter can not keep. Our fees include spay/neuter, microchip, core vaccinations (DAPP and rabies), transport, and access to online training videos.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a facility, so many of our adopters adopt without actually meeting their new family member in advance. When people do want to do a meet and greet first, we get an approved application and then get the dog to a foster home within driving distance of the prospective adopter so that they can do a meet and greet at or near the fosters home.

More about this rescue

JMM Rescue has been rescuing for about 5 years. We have both always had a passion for animals and went from networking to actual rescuing. We are foster based rescue with most of our dogs and puppies fostered in So Cal and then adopted in Oregon. We pull from shelters, but also do street rescue and owner surrenders. We emphasize the importance of spay and neuter as well as training on our Facebook page. We have a goal of becoming a 501c3, but have not yet started the process. We find that there is a significant issue with overpopulation in California that does not exist on the same level in Oregon, and together we have been able to save 100s of dogs and get them into good homes. We strive to be a humble part of the rescue village and greatly value our fosters, adopters, and other supporters.
