Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*** AVAILABLE TO ADOPT - KIRA ***
Our beautiful, 18 month old pup Kira is ready to find her forever family!! Kira loves to run, run and run some more and her favorite toy is a rope she can tug and chase! She is super sweet, friendly and will thrive with a family that is active and one that will continue to help her learn sign language, commands and how to be a lady on leash! She is a typical pup and needs structure. (She is super food motivated and easy to train!)
Kira will make a great jogging or hiking buddy because she loves to be outside. She is good with kids. Cats are unknown. Kira is currently living with her 2 laid back boxer foster brothers and she does great. We think these are the kind of guys she will do best with.... the more submissive type - but she would be perfectly content being your one and only as well! It is common that deaf boxers have a 6th sense. (That’s why we all fight over who gets to foster them 💙!!!) They are super “in tune” with their people. Kira is young but will no doubt develop a wonderful relationship with a very lucky family.
If you are a Pre-Approved Adopter please contact our adoption coordinators. https://www.boxerhaven.org/adoption-coordinators.
If you are not a pre-approved adopter yet, please begin the application process at: https://www.boxerhaven.org/requirements-adoption-application
All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and or neutered if age appropriate.
Boxer Haven Rescue does not adopt on a first come, first serve basis. Potential adopters that contact us with an interest in one of our dogs are reviewed and if they are a good fit, their application is sent to the foster family. The foster family then decides, which family they will contact. It is our goal to put each dog in their forever... perfect home. If you are not contacted regarding a dog you expressed interest in, please continue to follow our website as it can change daily!
