Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME NEEDED***
Hey! My name is Charlie and I'm looking for a beagle lover to take me under their wing and give me the home I've always been waiting for. I arrived from an Alabama foster home a few months back after I wound up as a stray. Upon my intake exam, my new friends at Canines & Company found out that I was heart worm positive. I have been undergoing my treatment for a while now in a foster home, but due to change of circumstances, I've found myself in search of a new foster home, preferably one that would like to adopt me after my heart worm treatment has been completed.
I am a very mild mannered guy, sweet and quiet. I'm excellent on leash and won't even pull you down the street. You'll rarely hear my beagle bark, but every once in a while I will make some grumbly sounds like Chewbacca that will crack you up! I'm a calm boy in a crate and around in the home, and I'm already potty trained. I do my best to be the best houseguest I can, I'm just hoping to land the jackpot in a place I can stay for good.
I like my walks and cuddles, the best parts of the day. I am good with other dogs, although I prefer dogs that are calm like me, since I'm not the biggest fan of wrestling or rough play. I am currently working on my basic obedience at Found Training Center to be the very best version of myself when I finally find the perfect family to take me home. I'm already a pro at "place," "sit" and "down," and I have killer eye contact while I'm working for kibble. My trainers say I'm the cutest little thing looking up at them and waiting for the next command with my little ear flaps out to the side of my head like the wings of an airplane I sometimes even do a little dance on my hind legs when I first see my favorite people and it will just melt your heart, I promise.
My adoption fee includes a six week group course as well, so my new adopter(s) can learn all about the cool things I know. I am currently available to foster and preference will be given to those interested in adopting me at the end of my treatment, around approximately April 2nd.
If you have questions regarding me or my treatment, please email brittney@caninesandcompany.org.
