My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Nala! I am a sweet seven year young female Shar-Pei rescued from a Virginia shelter. I am all settled in at my foster home where I like to follow my Foster Dad around everywhere! I also enjoy playing with my roommate, Franklin, a 10-month old lab mix. We can get pretty rough with one another, but I do a good job of holding my own. I like to nibble at ears, which is really cute. I have a Shar-Pei cousin, Moose, who I also like. We also have a cat in the house, who I also like to nibble at. The cat takes it for a little while, but when he's had enough he swipes at me and runs away.

I have some skin and eye issues, but am 1000% better than when I arrived. My eyes are looking better, and my coat is getting back to normal. My ears are improving, but I still have an ear infection in both ears. I am on antibiotics, both oral and topical, to help clear it up. I do have a thyroid issue, which I have to take a daily pill for.

Update 3/27/2019: I had a Shar-Pei Fever episode today, which is something that I had gone through in my previous home. I went to the vet and we were able to get my fever down. We are starting me on Colchicine.
