Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This adorable boy is Rex. He is 7 1/2 years old and weighs a perfect 15.3 pounds. Rex is being fostered in Orlando, FL.
UPDATED BIO 03/06/2019: Hi, Rex here. I came to UYR a few days ago. My 85 year-old owner had to give me up because she could no longer care for me like she used to. She cried when I left and I was very sad, too. My Foster Mom assured her that she would do her best to find the perfect new home for me and that both she and I would have to approve of my new home.
Here’s some facts about me. I'm current on all my vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. I am on Trifexis for heartworm and flea/tick prevention. I'm house-trained and I only had one accident at my foster mom's house when I first arrived since I didn’t quite know the lay-of-the-land yet. She's very proud of me. I love walks, car rides, playing with my toys and just chilling on your lap.
I do have a Grade II/IV subluxation in my left knee, but it doesn't bother at all. The dogtor said I'm very healthy overall and all I need is to have my teeth cleaned and that is happening in a day or two.
My ideal home would have a mom and dad who are retired so they can spend a lot of time with me like my former mom did. A fenced yard would be nice, but it’s not a deal breaker as long as I am taken on several walks every day. I like all of your attention, I don’t want to share my human.
If you would like to be considered to be my new family, please click on the link below to submit an adoption application for me.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not have a history of Rex being around children, but his Foster Mom feels that he would be fine with children age 12 and older.
