Adoption fee on this dog is $300.
Cruz is a one year old black and tan boy weighing approximately 75 lbs. He is a little on the skinny side, and could use another 5 - 10 lbs on his large frame. He came to us as a stray from a local shelter, so nothing is known about his background.
Cruz is a little on the shy side when he first meets someone new. He is learning very quickly that humans are a good thing especially if they offer him treats. He is learning not to jump when excited. He is treat and praised motivated, so training has been relatively easy.
He is currently living in a foster home with 2 adult males and 3 adult female GSDs. He loves to play with everyone and also enjoys chewing on nyla bones. He is crate-trained and house broken. He will grab a random shoe if left unattended, but corrects easily.
Cruz has medium energy and has not exhibited any prey drive, so he could possibly live with dog-savvy cats. He will need a home with another adult dog to help build his confidence.
He would do well in an active home, with people who have worked with shy dogs. Cruz will need continued training and socialization.
