Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Shooter. He is a 1 year old aussie or border collie and possibly great dane mix being fostered in northern New Jersey. Shooter is a sweetheart and still very much a playful puppy at heart. He's a smart boy that loves to learn and play, and just wants to please you. Since coming to his foster home he has been working on his basic obedience training, being good in the house and living with a cat, he has learned so much.
Shooter was turned in by his owner because when he gets excited playing ball or meeting new people he did like to be a bit mouthy. Holding your hand in his mouth. His foster mom has worked with him on this and he has improved a lot and been doing very well with this.
Shooter is dog, cat and people friendly of all ages. He may be a bit shy when first meeting new people and dogs he doesn't know, but he warms up quickly. He's good with his foster family's cat, and listens well to correction if he tries to chase him in play. He adores people and kids but it's felt he'd do best with kids over the age of 9 since he is big and might knock them over. He is house trained and has a great start with his basic obedience and leash skills, and continues to learn more every day.
A medium energy dog, he'd love to have a home where he can run and play and continue to learn. Maybe a home with a fenced in yard or some other way where he can be able to run and play. He would love someone who wants to continue his training and maybe even play around with agility or another fun activity to help him improve his confidence.
This boy is a gem and deserves a truly wonderful home. Here is our app! https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application
