Here's what the humans have to say about me:
“Lucy came from an hoarding case, where she was one of 20 small breed dogs. Lucy is very timid at first due to her not having any socialization.
Lucy will need to go to a home that is patient with her and give her time to adjust to her new surroundings. She needs to be the one to get close to her new owner(s) and cannot be pushed to be loved or to love back. She needs time to get to know her humans, but once she overcomes that, Lucy is an amazing little girl.”
- Miriam, Lucy's foster mom
Lucy is a 3 year old Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix. She came to us as one of 20 small breed dogs that were part of a severe hoarding case. Shortly after she came to EPAR, she gave birth to a litter of pups who have all since been adopted. She is up to date on all vetting/shots, spayed, microchipped, and potty/crate trained. She gets along with other dogs and cats but is too shy and timid for children.
Lucy is very shy as she was never properly socialized with humans. Since she spent all of her time with other dogs, she is great with dogs but needs to become comfortable with her potential adopters on her own terms. She takes a little while to come out of her shell, but once she does she is a sweet girl that loves to run and play.
To adopt Lucy, please fill out an adoption application at www.endlesspawsibilitiesanimalrescue.org/adoption-application.html. Our adoption process includes verification of submitted information, in-person meet and greet with the animal and the applicant's other pets (if applicable), and mandatory home check.
Adoption fee: $150
