Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**COURTESY POST** If you are interested in adopting Carter please visit tailsoftheunwanted.org and complete an adoption application.
Carter has the sweetest soul of a doggo and I am sure she is filled with sugar and spice and everything nice! She is:
~45lbs of sheer lapdog
~Approximately 2 years old
~Gets along great with other dog social doggos
~37.5% from the following breed groups (in order of likelihood): Herding, Mountain Dogs, Asian
~25% American Staffordshire Terrier
~25% Boxer
~12.5% Labrador Retriever
~She is OH SO SOFT and extremely cuddly
~This girl takes zero seconds to warm up to people. She will be in your lap or cuddled up by your side in the blink of an eye!
~Highly treat motivated
~An honorary member of the "no potty in da house" club
~Crate trained (with some bribery)
Carter is pretty much up for anything and would love to go on adventures if you are that type of person. If not she is totally okay being a homebody too! As long as she has you, she's one happy girl! She would do best in a home with older children.
Carter is heartworm positive but has gone through an advanced slow kill treatment. Her adopter(s) will be required to give her a monthly topical dose of Advantage Multi (provided by her rescue) until she tests negative (testing also covered by her rescue). It is imperative she remain on heartworm preventative for her lifetime but once she tests negative you can decide along with your vet if you would like to continue with Advantage Multi or change to another kind of preventative.
Carter is so deserving of finding her fur-ever loving family where she can live her best life. If you are interested in making her a part of yours, please visit tailsoftheunwanted.org and complete an adoption application.
