Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JESSIE is a 4-year-old neutered male black lab. Jessie weighs 92 pounds, needs to lose about 15-18 and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
DESCRIPTION One one of our volunteers went to the shelter to meet Jessie. Our volunteer spent about an hour with Jessie. She said Jessie is a young, big, handsome boy who has a lot of energy. Jessie does jump up, so he'll need training and adequate exercise as an outlet for his energy. But, Jessie's very food motivated and already knows the sit, down, and paw commands. Jessie likes toys and once he calmed down, he was given a stuffed toy. Jessie then just lay on our volunteer's feet while she petted him and gave him love. As our volunteer was leaving, there were other people looking at the shelter dogs in the open area. Jessie was just curious. The shelter says Jessie is good in the car. Jessie is good with other dogs. He was tested on lead with another dog at the shelter and ignored the other dog. Jessie may be OK with cats, because he was also tested with a cat at the shelter and just sniffed the cat. Jessie is approved for kids ages 10 and up, because he has lived with older kids (a 10 year old, a 12 year old, and a 17 year old) but may knock over younger kids with his energy.
