My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mika is a 5 year old Purebred English Shepherd (was a breeder dog). She was Heartworm positive and has been treated. MUST have fenced yard - she’s not a jumper though - just likes to be outside a lot. Very Shy, sweet girl- house trained, good with other dogs. Needs someone with patience to let her warm up to them. Walks very well on leash, well mannered. Due to her skitish nature a quiet home would be best we think.

This is an email we received from the foster parent of Mika: It is my opinion that Mika is one of the prettiest dogs that we have ever had at HCAR. She is complete now on her heart worm treatments. She needs to find her forever home. She is very intelligent but still a little shy. She has come a long way in trusting people. She doesn’t even have to be leashed when going from her inside area in the basement room to her outside kennel. She doesn’t have to be crated when inside.
