My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misty was abandoned when her guardian moved. We don't know much about her but we do know she is not well socialized. She wants to be cuddled and talked to but doesn't trust people and is afraid of new situations. She prefers women and often growls at men, but she may be fine with a calm person that is willing to let her adjust at her own pace. Misty is a very submissive dog and may bite if she feels threatened or if pushed to far so we are seeking a home without children. She likes treats and will take them nicely. She likes to take walks and car rides and does really well with both. Misty loves to fetch and would do so for hours if you let her. She also plays with toys by herself. She does good with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind the cats. Misty will do best in a home that is calm, structured and consistent so she can relax and feel safe in her environment. Her family needs to be committed to keeping her contained, either by leash or fenced in yard when outdoors so she doesn't get spooked and run away. She is between 1 and 2 years old, vaccinated and spayed.
