Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Luna is a 1 year old, 26Ib of adorable Cattle Dog. Luna is friendly with dogs and warms up quickly to people when introduced properly. She seems to prefer men but quickly fell in love with her foster mom! Luna is currently being fostered with 3 dogs (2 females, 1 male) and has met 2 other male dogs since we’ve had her. She does well but she is not interested in playing with them at this time. She’s had brief moments of “play” but is very awkward and prefers to entertain herself with toys. She does great meeting new dogs and tolerates them well. She can become snappy with pushy dogs who pester her to play but has otherwise coexisted very well with other dogs with no signs of aggression towards them. Luna likes hiking, long walks, chasing the ball (still learning to bring it back and drop it. We are playing the “trade game”), chasing a flirt pole, working for her meals in puzzle toys, learning new tricks, and loves spending her time indoors snuggled in your lap getting belly rubs or flinging around her favorite toy! Luna rides great in the car but does need to be buckled in or crated otherwise she would like to crawl into your lap for snuggles the whole time! She’s been left in the car for short periods while running errands and has not been destructive. She is crate trained and rests quietly in there during the day. Luna does get very excited when she sees you coming to let her out of her crate and will scratch so we are working on calm behaviors before being let out. She goes into the crate easily with a treat or chew and sleeps in her crate overnight. Luna would prefer a home without cats and young children. She could possibly live with a very dog savvy cat who does not run as she cannot turn down a fun game of chase but she is not aggressive towards them. Luna has lived with children in the past but did not enjoy young kids but would be okay with teenagers who respect her space. Luna is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Luna is being fostered in Mount Vernon, WA and Luna’s adoption fee is $330. If you're interested in meeting Luna, please fill out an adoption application on our website. pnwcdr.org/adopt If this listing is up, Luna is still available!
