Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Trooper - Family’s Best Friend. Loves everyone!
Approximately 1 year old. Weighs 54 lbs
Trooper is a beautiful boxer mix with a fun-loving goofy personality. He’s got really long legs so he loves to run, a fenced yard is best. Otherwise, multiple walks will help him burn his puppy energy.
Trooper is a very quiet dog that doesn’t draw much attention to himself nor rarely ever barks. He likes a variety of toys to chew on. He is housebroken.
He has been easy to train and is driven by treat enforcement. Trooper has already learned simple commands as in sit, stay, and laydown in less then a week. We suggest crating when not home until matures a few more years. However, Trooper does very well being left out of his crate at night, just loves to sleep on the comfy couch.
Loves being with other dogs to play with and is puppy-curious of other animals including cats, chickens, and sheep.
He needs a split balance of rest and exercise alike. Trooper is great with adults and young kids. Overall Trooper is a very well behaved boy looking for his forever home!
Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.
Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
