My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bricky is a Wire Fox Terrier, who, at 13 years young (born 2/16/2006) finds himself looking for a new home after his owner passed away with no family available to take him. Please do not let Brick's age fool you. He is the poster dog for not judging a book by its cover. Bricky is young at heart and ready to enjoy life! He is a hilarious character who goes with the flow and is up for just about anything.

Bricky loves to play with his toys (his snowman is his favorite) and his doggy pals. He and his foster friend, Bentley, have a blast together playing outside (you'll see Bentley in the pictures). Bricky is great on a leash (loves his walks - check out a short video clip of him enjoying a walk in the snow on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/baystatedogs), goes up and down the stairs like a champ, and sleeps in a crate at night.

Bricky is wearing a sweater since he had to be shaved because his fur was matted (you can see the before picture of him to get a sense of his fur). He looks like he has some Poodle in him, but he came with a Pedigree certificate showing him as a Wire Fox Terrier.

Bricky came to the rescue with his pal, Dolly. We hope to find a home that will adopt them together (they've already lost their owner, we'd hate to see them lose each other, too). The owner's family is sponsoring the adoption fee to try to keep these two together. Bricky's medical care is also sponsored, so you don't have to worry about those costs (details will be worked out with adopter).

Bricky is 19 lbs., neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. He has had a dental and full blood work (he is negative for heartworm and all tick-borne illnesses, including Lyme). He spent a lot of time inside so was used to using pee pads, but definitely prefers to go outside to do his business.

To submit an adoption application, visit our website at http://www.baystatedogs.com/adopt.html (you can fill out the online application or submit the Word version - whichever you prefer). An application, phone interview, vet reference (if applicable), home visit, and contract are required are part of the adoption process.
