Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stacy
lab/shepherd mix
40lbs / 1-2 years old
Safe Haven recently brought Stacy and her 8 puppies to Illinois from Tennessee to find their furever families.
Stacy is a sweet girl who has weaned her puppies and is now ready for her next chapter. She is smart, vocal and is completely potty trained. No crate needed for this girl. I have left her for 2-4 hours in the house with no accidents. She has a soft mouth which means she takes treats nicely from the hand when they are offered.
Stacy can be a little shy at first but with slow introductions she warms up quickly. This gorgeous girl loves her people and stays close whenever possible. I do feel once she is settled into her new life and regains her confidence she will be more independent.
Currently Stacy is sharing a home with three male dogs and has done well acclimating into their home and routine. She has never met a cat so we are not sure what her reaction would be.
She walks well on leash but still working on basic commands. Stacy is a very smart girl who likes to give hugs whenever possible. Stacy’s coloring is very unique she is brown/tan with orange highlights and has eyes to match. This girl is one of a kind.
If you’d like to meet Stacy in person fill out an adoption application to come for a meet and greet!

Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
