Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Lansing area, Michigan
Gabby is a super sweet girl that is just over a year old, we believe she is a Lab/Shepherd mix. She came to us after being abandoned on the streets of Detroit after she was thrown out by her owner that no longer wanted her. Gabby has been bounced around a lot in her short life and for that reason we are looking for a foster or adopter who is willing to be patient with her as she adjusts to yet another new environment. She can be wary of new people at first, especially men but once she gets comfortable she has nothing but love to give, she thinks she’s a lap dog! Gabby has a silly personality and can be a total goof, she loves playing with toys and going for walks/runs. She is young and full of energy so we are looking for an active home for her that will help her burn off that energy. A home with a big fenced in yard would be perfect but is not required. She does well with other dogs if introduced properly but she does have a lot of energy and is very excitable and would probably be too much for an older or small dog. We are unsure of how she would do with cats so no cats at this time. At this time we are suggesting a home with no kids, she has a lot of energy and doesn’t understand how big she is. She will need a family that can be patient with her and who is willing to take her to training class to help teach her necessary social skills and leash skills. Gabby is house and crate trained. If you are interested in either fostering or adopting Gabby please email us at adoptapupanimalrescue@gmail.com
Gabby is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, fecal and heartworm tested, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Gabby is only available to adopters in the state of Michigan, we do not adopt outside of Michigan at this time.
Please follow the instructions to apply online found in the auto-reply you will receive or email adoptapupanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application.
Adopt A Pup is 100% foster-based which means we do not have a centralized facility where you can visit our dogs. The first step towards meeting the dog(s) you are interested is to complete an application. One of our volunteers will contact your references and set up a time between you and the foster to meet and interact with the dog(s) of interest.
