"Slim" was found, by my Father in Jones County sometime early September 2018. He was skin and bones, according to my Dad, so he took him in. About two weeks later, a major flood from Hurricane Florence came through and demolished my parents home. Slim has been living with us, ever since... and my father passed mid January. We already have 3 dogs within our family. We do not have the space to continue to keep Slim. He is a very sweet, calm and loving dog. He rarely barks. He is not house trained. Based on his demeanor, I feel that he was primarily used as a hunting dog, for he doesn't seem to follow basic commands well. He is gentle with our children, cats and other dogs. This is his story, and we are hoping that someone with the adequate space and love, will take him in. His medical history is unknown. He has not been to the vet to my knowledge, but doesn't seem to show any signs of concern.
