Here's what the humans have to say about me:
With her original owner, Angel lived an emotionally neglected, crated existence for 4+ years. She shared the household with 3 large aggressive dogs as well as four cats, two rabbits and one ferret of unknown temperament. The big dogs petrified her. Her owners re-homed her due to divorce. Angel, a full breed red Pomeranian, is a beautiful girl. She’s got a sweet disposition and the prettiest eyes . She still has minor trust issues and she’s not fond of car rides, she needs someone with the patience to find the balance of not to pushing her too much, but just enough out of her comfort zone to enable her to continue to move forward and be the happy well adjusted dog she can be. She has made tremendous strides in rescue and we would like to see that continue. Angel’s idea of the perfect human would be someone who would feed her twice a day, take her for walks (unless it’s raining), and provide belly rubs the rest of the time. She loves to walk with foster dad but is afraid of foster mom's cane. For sure she will make some one a sweet and loving companion. Angel is said to be 5 yrs old and weighs 11 pounds. She can be called house trained if you keep her on a schedule. 4-5 hrs give or take. She doesn’t come to you to let you know but when she starts getting restless it’s time. Angel will use potty pads. I think she gets very excited when she knows we have come home because it’s not unusual to find a fresh puddle on one of the pads. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a more exuberant welcome from any other dog. She’s learning to play with me and our other dogs. She does not like car rides, so we’re trying to show her that this is not a bad thing. We took Angel to Petco the other evening for some cookies & a grooming brush. Foster dad was holding her when a man came into the store with a black lab - clearly Angel Pom was frightened. So Angel is still afraid of big dogs but we think that she would do best in a home with one or more well adjusted small dogs. Angel is fully vetted, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned. Her adoption fee is $275 with all vet work done.
