Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bon and his brother Angus were in local news recently, being loose on Pleasanton Ridge. They were in process of being re-homed (due to illness in their guardian's family) when they escaped during the transition and headed for the hills. Exhausted and scared after 8 days, they were finally recovered and brought back to safety. Two of their rescuers have taken them into their own home and are now seeking permanent placements for them.
The brothers are very sweet and affectionate. It didn't take them long to calm down and adjust to their temporary foster home and new people. Since their original owner was a single man they tend to bond more readily to men. Rather than play with toys, or even each other, they prefer to be with their humans and are happy just to sit with you - perfect couch potatoes..They are house trained and will easily go into crates.
Bon is sensitive and very smart. He seems to be more of a leader than his brother, but is also a bit more of a baby. He begins to cry/howl if being left but will stop when you say "no." He is a good walker on leash and after gradual introduction to the foster home's resident dogs he now walks along with them. Like his brother, Bon is very treat motivated. And his favorite treat - popcorn !
Born 6/14/17, Bon is now 1 1/2 years old and about 50 lbs. He is healthy and current on vaccinations, neutered and micro-chipped.
Note! This is a courtesy posting for someone trying to re-home a pet. The adoption fee is $100. If you would like to know more about Bon, Angus, or both, please contact his current caregivers at (925) 519-0501 or la-caldwell@comcast.net. They are committed to finding him a permanent loving home and are happy to work with you
