Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone, my name is Brie and I am a special little girl. I am a shih tzu/yorkie mix that is about 5 years old. I weigh in at only about 7 pounds, so I am just a little thing. I was picked up as a stray at a local animal control and I was a shaggy, matted mess. They also discovered that I was a sick little thing and had multiple huge bladder stones. I had surgery to remove them and after some time to heal, I am ready to find a home of my own. My new family will need to feed me a special diet of urinary food so that I hopefully won’t get more stones. But other than my special food and needing lots of water to keep things flushed out, I am a super sweet girl. I can be a little shy at first but once I get to know you, look out…I am a love bug. I love to cuddle, and I love to wrestle and play with toys. I am not a big barker either. I would love to find a family that would love me and spoil me rotten. I’ve been through enough already and I feel it’s my time to live the good life. If you think you may have a spot in your home and heart for a special little girl like me, send the kind people caring for me an email soon at info@ciatn.org.
**All Compassion in Action dogs must be adopted by families willing to have their pets be a part of their family and must be allowed inside—especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a “tie-out” or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced yard.
**All Compassion in Action dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations prior to adoption.
**All Compassion in Action dogs and cats are in foster care in middle Tennessee and will be transported to our drop off sites after their adoption.
