Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I love my mom! And she loves me! So much so that when she got sick, she entrusted the great people at SusieQ Dog ResQ with finding me a new mommy (and maybe even a daddy, too!).
My name is Kipling, and no one knows for sure how old I am, but they call me a “senior”. The people at SusieQ are now searching for my new family and they are going to be very particular. My foster mom has gotten to know me pretty well, and she has promised both me and my mom that she won’t let me go until she finds the perfect home for me.
So, what do I need?
• First and foremost, lots of love!
• I also need a small spot on the bed right next to you. Speaking of the bed, it would be really great if it were on the first floor. You see, I can climb a few steps, but I have very little legs and I don’t climb a full flight of stairs.
• The next most important thing is I need my people to let me out often. I’m not a young chick anymore, when I have to go…I have to go.
• I don’t need a lot of room to roam, but a small fenced in area would keep me safe.
• I’d like to keep my girlish figure so it would be nice if we could go for walks.
Now, I don’t think that’s too much to ask…do you? Will you be my new mommy?
Please read all info below before proceeding. Kipling is a senior Dachshund that was turned over to us when her Mom went into hospice. She got to vivit her Mom for many weeks and it was such a comfort to her. Her foster Mom now is amazing and really loves her, but with a dog of her own she really needs a quiet home where she can spend some time being loved on and enjoying her retirements years. She is a tiny litt to make sure shpPlease read all info below before proceeding. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before filling out an application. While we don't charge a fee to submit an application we can understand why some rescues do. A lot of time is spent reviewing applications. Time that can be spent caring for the dogs. To do all that only to be told that you now aren't ready or have changed your mind is time consuming. Please read all info posted about the dogs and if we say the dogs needs a fenced yard and you don't have one please don't proceed. We also don't adopt out to home with INVISIBLE/SHOCK FENCING and can provide you some info if you would like to understand why we feel this way. Because these are rescued dogs we don't usually know who the parents are so breed listings are usually an educated guess. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE A LIFETIME COMMITMENT TO THIS PET. If you are interested in this dog please go to our website www.susieqdogresq.com to fill out an application. A vet reference and home visit are required. Please check our pet list to see more animals up for adoption.
