Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Isn't she simply beautiful? She is looking for a forever home. Will that be you?
Ms Gatsby is a lovely 3yr old house guest. She loves her family and is a good watch dog if someone is lurking about outside. She plays a bit rough so she should not play with kids. She is NOT a kissy face/huggy dog. If this is what you are looking for, she's NOT the dane for you. And you see that beautiful white coat... she loves to roll in the dirt! LOL!
Ms Gatsby is royalty and if you treat her accordingly, you will have the greatest dane ever!!!! If she misbehaves, a verbal correction is all that is necessary, she is very sensitive. Kids make her VERY nervous (they like to hug , give kisses or pet her face and they move quickly-they're kids!!!) so it would be best to put her in a room... if you have guests with kids. If you have her around new people, she should be on a leash so you have control of her. Gatsby has no interest in your guests, she would rather lounge in another room with a cool bowl of water!!! She has been crated in the past and actually is quite comfy with a crate. It is her safe place.
Ms Gatsby walks pretty well on a leash and does enjoy car rides. Her highness likes some tv commercials and National Geographic Wild!!! We believe her owners allowed her to react in a negative manner as a pup, to certain tv shows, commercials because they thought it was funny. What is cute at 25 lbs isn't cute at 125 lbs. A simple verbal correction and she stops immediately! She listens very well. We have and continue to... work with her so she is very benign in comparison to when she first joined our rehoming program. Like we said, she is a very sweet, loving girl who was not taught certain social etiquette. She is an alpha F so she does not play nice with other dogs. She seems to have a very high prey drive as well so... NO other pets.
