Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gus is 3 1/2 year old Great Pyranees-Lab mix. He is a very sweet big guy (102 lbs) who loves attention, lots of exercise, and a big yard to play in. He is happiest when spending time outside.
Our family adopted Gus from the Huron Valley Humane Society about 2 1/2 years ago. At this point we did not have children. He has a history of food-guarding and was previously returned due to nipping at a child when nearing his food bowl. We worked with his issues and he became a very well trained dog. He can sit, stay, shake, hug (up), lay, and walks well on a leash. In the right environment, he can also be off-leash. He is leader-leash trained.
Although his food guarding issues have improved greatly, he doesn't like it when people get too close to him when he eats.
Gus needs a home without children under 12. Small children make him very uncomfortable and anxious.
Gus gravitates toward men and would do well in a home with an experienced dog owner. He is a truly wonderful dog and companion!!!
