Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy is an 8 year old Yorkie who's owner could no longer properly take care of Buddy, so through some connections, came into our Rescue. Buddy is a tiny guy weighing in at only 6 lbs. Despite his tiny size, Buddy has a big heart and lots of love to give.
Sadly, Buddy's teeth were neglected for too long and he had to have the few teeth he had left, removed. So now he has no teeth at all, but this hasn't interfered with his appetite, though, and Buddy merrily eats his soft food with gusto. Buddy doesn't like to share his food or treats and makes sure his foster siblings know better than to try and surf his bowl, so he should be fed separately in a home with multiple dogs. Other than not sharing his treats, Buddy gets along fine with other dogs; it's unknown how he feels about cats, but given his nature, we think he'd be fine with a cat.
Buddy's eyes have slight cataracts, but he sees just fine. His pre-dental blood work and exam indicated that Buddy is a very healthy dog despite the deplorable condition his teeth were in prior to his dental surgery.
Buddy is house trained and does his business outside, but may need some initial reinforcement in a new home. Buddy sleeps on the bed and is quiet and peaceful all night. He likes to be playful at bedtime and will jump around the bed and mouth his foster mom's hand for fun. He's a very calm and quiet dog, so he would be good for both house or apartment / condo living. Since Buddy is so tiny and delicate, he is not suitable to be placed in a family with small children for his own safety.
Buddy is currently being fostered in Poughkeepsie, NY.

You should live either in NJ, or NY State within 2 hours drive of Poughkeepsie NY or Northern NJ and need to be willing to drive to come get him. We do not ship or fly dogs.
