Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nelly is a small retriever mix in height, but she is stocky. She is energetic for an 8 to 9 year old, but she also likes to cuddle on the sofa. She loves to chase and fetch balls. She arrived after her owner died and she has spent time at a correctional facility program where she has gotten lots of love and attention.
For some reason, when she returns to Alex's House, for the first day she has a few seizures when she runs up the stairs to go outside. She had none with her previous owner. She has had none at the facility. And this issue only lasts one day at Alex's House. We don't know if she is just really excited or overwhelmed at the number of dogs initially. We had her fully checked out by a doggie cardiologist/internal medicine specialist, including an EEG and blood work and everything was perfect. The specialist has no explanation for why this happened.
Alex's House includes this information because we want to be honest. We don't expect her to have issues at her adoptive home as she has no issues at the facility and had no issues with her former owner.
If you would like to meet Nelly, please email an adoption application to vicki@alexshouse.org
