You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Suzie is 3 years old and came into our rescue because her owner had to move into an assisted living facility. She is much more laid back than your typical border collie and is just as content to lounge around in the house as she is to play outside. She is very affectionate, housebroken and crate trained. She is not all that interested in toys or treats but is very much a people pleaser! She is getting along well with her foster siblings although she does try to herd them when they play outside. Our older girls are not amused but the 3 year old sheltie has turned it into a fun game of chase. She herds them from a distance now so they are not really bothered by her and she still feels like she's doing 'her job'. Suzie does tend to bond strongly to one person but after just a few minutes she has warmed up to everyone she's met. She has lost a little bit of weight already but still has a few pounds to go. I have taken her running a few times and she seems to enjoy that. She has been introduced to a cat and totally ignored it so we assume she would do OK living with a cat. Also we are not sure how much she has been around children but judging by her gentle nature we think she would probably do fine with older children. Suzie has the great blend of border collie beauty and brains and loyalty but not the typical intensity and constant need for activity. Suzie needs a fenced yard to keep her safe. She is being fostered in the Springfield, MO area. More information on Suzie and other great dogs, including adoption information and application, is available at www.mokanbcrescue.org
