Kristen is a great family dog. She was adopted from us last summer and her adopted family loved her very much. She got along well with their kids, cat and their other young dog. She was happy but hard to keep entertained. They had to move a few months after adopting and the new house had only a 5ft. tall fence and it didn't take Kristen long to figure out how to get over the fence to explore the world beyond. After many failed attempts and her escaping, the family decided for her safety to return her to ARF to find her a new home with a more secure environment.
When we picked Kristen up she jumped in the car like she never left. She is such a social creature. She has never met a strange person or dog. She greets everyone with a wag and a hug. She has good manners, most of the time, and she loves to fetch. In the car ride she was perfect. She sits on command and she will sleep in a crate at night. She does need a tall, over 6ft., fence with secure locking gates. She would love to go running everyday with her new owner or hiking or even learn a sport! She has so much potential.
Kristen is looking for a new forever home but she also needs a foster home asap. We have her in temporary foster that isn't really perfect to suit her high energy needs. If you are interested in either option please contact us at ARF so we can get in touch!
All dogs are in happy foster homes so you MUST set-up an appointment by calling 972-318-9650 or by sending an email to info@arftx.com.
