My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yonder ... Where is Yonder? Over yonder! This little guy is busy, fun, and very entertaining. He loves everything and thinks everything loves him right back too. Pug is a guess, but his square muzzle is not typical of a Chihuahua nore his thicker chest.

Yonder got his name in an interesting way. You see, when we first got Yonder he was suffering from Demodex which left him nearly completely bald with scabs over more than 90% of his body. Out of his foster mom's mouth popped "The Hairless Wonder is over Yonder!" and that's how he got his name. He is truly a wonder because after months of his painful condition being neglected he was still such a happy boy.

The hair is nearly all grown back all over his body. Lo and behold he's a very creamy white! He is all set to find a new home where his antics and love will fit right in.

Yonder loves dogs, cats, kids and fun. He is crate-trained and working on leash training (though that was put off because he could not have a collar on for long that pulled on his tender skin).

If you have been looking for a lot of fun in a small package then Yonder is the boy for you. Please read on or go to the Adoption Process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - to learn how to start.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
