Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Misty's story is a familiar one seen by all our local shelters and rescues. She was found skinny and alone, probably a lost and abandoned hunting dog.
She came into rescue after being placed on the euth list at the shelter because no one showed up for her. Not her owner nor any adopters.
She's an older gal at approximately 9 years old and 52 pounds.
She is being treated for heartworms using the slow kill treatment. She sleeps all night in her crate and uses a doggy door very well. Her foster reports no accidents in the house and she is a very sweet, loving, polite girl.
She plays great with other dogs and would prefer to have at least one other doggy friend in her home, does well with cats and absolutely LOVES human attention and affection.
Misty recently had a dental cleaning and has some nice pearly white teeth now.
A home with a secure fenced yard is a must.
