My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ruby!!! Ruby is a 10 month old shepherd mix. I’d bet she’s GSD, Corgi (or some small breed with short legs) and Staffy combo. She is only 35lbs!

We originally got Ruby when she was only 3m old after getting into rat poison and her owner wanted to euthanize. The vet reached out and we took her and funded her medical treatment. She was then placed in a foster-to-adopt home and the family was all set to adopt but after getting a second dog, they lost interest and returned her to the rescue. This time, lets find this kid the perfect forever family!!!

Ruby is a ball of energy and loves to play rough and tumble (video in the comments). She’s dog friendly and would thrive in a home with another playful large breed dog. No kitties for this girl. She knows her name, has great recall and good leash manners. Ruby is still learning some basic skills like sit and down and not to jump when meeting new people. She’s is very affectionate and loves to give kisses and cuddle on the couch.

Ruby has been to Sage Campbell and Sage RWC to see their Neurologists. They believe that she was born with a Malformed brain that causes her to have periods where she is wobbly and off-balance. She does not need medication at this time and expected to live an otherwise very normal life.
