My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chantal, a black beauty rescued from the Devore Shelter in June 2014 when she was estimated to be about 2 years old. Shelter staff had determined her to be "Rescue Only" for behavioral aggression. Essentially, she hissed at them. Can you blame her? She was scared because the shelter is a scary place for animals.

But we thought otherwise and rescued her. Just as we suspected, it turned out she was simply frightened. Once in a loving foster home, Chantal proved to be very friendly. While she is shy and sensitive, she does love to cuddle up with her foster mom. She's also friendly with the other kitties in the home. Since she's been in foster care awhile, it may take her time to adjust to a new home with new people so may need some patience as she adjusts. But she's very much looking forward to finding her forever home with those who will love her as the sensitive, soulful kitty she is.
