Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! I am one of six heeler pups (5 boys and 1 girl) that were rescued from Alabama after the unexpected litter from a family's "purebred" Australian Cattle Dog. No one is sure what other breeds we are, other than cute! We were born on December 7th, 2018, so we are staying with our littermates at Found Chicago Boarding and Training Center getting some fun exposure to people, other dogs, and working on our drive development with toys so our new owners will be able to exercise us when we grow up!
My name is Taz and I am the largest male of the litter. I like to throw my size around and make sure my brothers know who's boss. I'm eager to meet new people and am very social. I bond extremely quickly with a handler and follow easily. My fur is longer than my siblings, so it's estimated that there is some sort of collie in me. I'm smart as a whip and even quicker when I run, so it's entirely possible!
I enjoy toys, but need to be encouraged to play because I sometimes get distracted because of how much I like pets! I will tug when you get my going! I will sometimes jump on a broom or mop and grab on for fun! My food drive is high and I lure well. If you are looking for a sport dog, email brittney@caninesandcompany.org for more video of my training.
If you are considering adopting me or any of my siblings, it is preferred that my new family have experience and knowledge of herding breeds like Australian Cattle Dogs. We are not the breed for everyone, as we need consistent exercise and challenge as we grow into adults. Please ensure you are ready for the time and effort a puppy like us will need.
With our adoption fee, you can attend a Found Chicago Boarding and Training course for FREE. Email brittney@caninesandcompany.org with any questions or concerns you have about me or any of my siblings.
