Josie is a sweet dog that will need a special home. She's VERY loving and loyal, but lacks confidence and needs lots of reassurance. She was abandoned and living on the streets, forced to scrounge for food. When she arrived, she was very underweight and had been eating bags and anything she could find... She has some lingering food insecurity issues and needs to be fed separately from other dogs.

As you can see in her video, she loves to play with other dogs - though we've limited her to one play buddy at a time (and separate feeding locations) - but she would also probably do very well as an only-dog with an experienced adopter. It is possible that she'll always be a "home body" and may get too spooked to take to restaurants - we just don't know...

She's been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She's crate-trained and well on her way to being fully house trained. She responds very well to consistent, predictable routines. She's about 18 months old now and weighs 40-45 pounds.
