MIA (KENTUCKY)
Mia is a precious 5-pound, 6 month old (estimated) Yorkie-Terrier mix puppy girl being fostered in Covington, KY near Cincinnati, OH.
Mia comes to UYR as an owner surrender to a local shelter. Mia and two large breed dogs were taken to animal control after a call for help came in as Mia’s owner and three pets were living in a trailer with no heat in the bitter cold. Mia is just a puppy and the shelter was not a good setting for her so our UYR angels donned their wings and flew Mia to safety. In the past few days Mia has received lots of medical care, lots of love and has been snug and warm in her foster home. She has been immunized, spayed, and had several deciduous puppy teeth removed and is now ready to start the search for her perfect forever home.
Mia is the sweetest puppy EVER. She is gentle as a lamb and loves to sleep right next to her person and snuggle. She travels great in the car and is almost immediately lulled to sleep just like a human baby. She will likely be close to 8-10 pounds as an adult dog. Mia is used to other dogs big and small and could go to a home with friendly dogs of any size. She is very calm for a puppy but will run and play given the opportunity and encouragement. Like most puppies she will need continued patience and support in the house-training arena but she has only had one “accident” in several days when taken out frequently so she is well on her way.
