Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3.
Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com
***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!***
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to come look at a dog.
We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.
We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA.
Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, or cash.
Rou is a sweet six month old puppy looking for his forever home. We think Rou might be a Belgian Malinois mix but we have no way of knowing for sure. He weighs roughly 20 pounds already, and needs to put on weight, so he will be a big boy!
Rou is neutered, microchipped, heart worm negative, and up to date on vaccinations. He was treated for giardia when he came into our rescue but has recovered and is doing great in his foster home.
Rou gets along with other dogs of all sizes and loves attention from people. We have not had him around young children or cats, though, so we're not sure how he will do with them. He is getting really well socialized on daily walks in his foster home. He is smart and eager to please.
Like all rescue puppies, he will need work on house and obedience training in his new home. We are looking for a forever family who will be committed to this sweet boy for his entire life, including working with a trainer if necessary.
Our rescue dogs need homes with people who are understanding of their past and are not willing to give up on them. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved in a safe environment with a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet pups do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.
Rou has an adoption fee of $745.
