Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tiny Ukiah came to us with his mama, Selma, and siblings Tracy and Vernon. They were just about one day old and reminded us of little Lima beans! Now they are ready to set out on their own (they will be ready to leave on 2/7).
Ukiah's name is rather big for how tiny he is. The smallest of the three, he is not the smallest in personality. He can hold his own with his littermates. He is very sweet and silly at the Sammie time. Because of his small size we are looking for a home where any children are at least eight years old/old enough to know how to be careful around a small dog.
If you would like to meet and potentially adopt this cutie, please read on or go directly to the adoption process page of our website to find out how to apply.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
