Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sam Spade. Sam is an adorable Cairn Terrier mix. He is 4-1/2 years old and weighs a healthy 15.7 lbs. Sam Spade is being fostered in Freeport, FL..
UPDATED BIO 01/29/2019: Sam Spade is a very handsome and playful Cairn Terrier Mix. He came into rescue because his former owner had a serious medical issue and could no longer care for him. Sam has been loved and cared for his entire life and is now looking for a committed and dedicated second home. He had a b-i-g day yesterday at the vet. He was updated on all his vaccinations and thankfully was heartworm and fecal-negative. He does need a dental and that will be scheduled soon – then he will be ready for adoption – hooray!
Sam is a very sweet and playful boy who loves being near his person. All. The. Time. He is not only leash-trained, but goes into his crate on command and also sits on command. What a smart boy! House-training is a work in progress, but since he’s been in his foster home, he is slowly learning where it is appropriate and not appropriate to do his business. He will need continued reinforcement in his forever home so that he succeeds in the house-training department.
Sam loves cuddling and especially loves belly rubs. He gets along well with other dogs close to his size and age, and his perfect forever home would have a playful companion since he loves to play and run around in the yard. Sam would do well in a home with an active family who could take him on long walks and maybe even hikes.
Sam is a young adult dog and is looking for a forever home that can commit the next 13-15 years to him. He will reward you with tons of love and companionship and devotion. If you are looking for a loyal, handsome and loving companion, Sam Spade fits the bill.
